Caring for Beeswax Candles
Beeswax candles develop a cloudy or white film on the surface called bloom. It is formed when the softer oils within the candle rise to the surface. It can easily be removed by applying gentle heat, such as leaving in sunlight, blowing warm air from a hair dryer, or wiping with a warm cloth. Trim the candle wick to about 1/4 inch each time you burn your candle and keep your burning candle away from drafts and vents. Not only is this the safest way to burn your candle, but it will also help ensure that your candle does not drip. |
